The Charger and the Miller

A Charger, feeling the effects of age, was reassigned to work in a mill instead of fighting in battles. He was unhappy with this change and often thought about his past life. He remembered how he used to be in the army, where he was decorated and a groom was always there to care for his horse. Now, he wondered why he had preferred the life of war over his new role in the mill.

The Miller told him to stop dwelling on the past. He explained that it is common for people to experience both good and bad times in life. Everyone faces changes and challenges according to their circumstances.
