The Cat with Three Names
Adapted · A1 · Graded story · 1:05 · A1
Ana lives in a new city. No one lives with her. Every evening, a gray cat comes to her home. Ana calls him Pepper. She gives him dinner.
One evening, Ana hears a young man."Biscuit! Dinner time!" Pepper walks to him.
The next day, Ana meets the man. His name is Leo."We give food to the same cat," Ana says. Leo laughs.
They write days on a paper: Ana on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, Leo on the other days. They put the paper on the cat.
Three days later, the cat has a new paper. It is a letter from Mrs. Dobrowska."Thank you for loving Mr. Button. He is my cat. Please do not give him a lot of food. His doctor says he is too fat. Come for tea on Sunday."
On Sunday, Ana and Leo take a cake to Mrs. Dobrowska. Mr. Button is sleeping by her window.
Now the three friends have tea every Sunday. The cat comes to Ana every evening, but Ana does not give him food now. She is happy. Ana has more than a cat now.
